NURSERY at BARRY PRIMARY SCHOOL
NURSERY
At Barry Primary Nursery School we pride ourselves in developing confident learners who are able to access a wide range of activities and choice of resources independently and with curiosity and excitement. Our highly trained, caring staff provide a child led setting and teach adult focused activities to develop the skills required within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Our environment contains authentic - home from home - resources and is in a natural, calm atmosphere. The continuous provision within the setting allows children to develop their confidence and independence to grow into highly engaged and motivated learners. We encourage our children to explore, investigate and challenge themselves at all levels. Our aim is to develop the whole child with high levels of well being and self esteem.
We offer lots of opportunities for outside play to develop our physical skills in our large outside area. We love to connect with nature, exploring and observing our environment in all weathers. We care for the fish in our pond, teaching the children to show care for animals as well as each other and the environment.
We offer 15 hrs (5 sessions) or 30 hrs full time Nursery place with lunch 4 days a week. Nursery is closed on a Friday afternoon.
We welcome visits to the Nursery, of which we are extremely proud to share with you.
