Sports Premium allocation is £9776.

PE is one of the four focus areas of our school development plan, making it one of our top priorities.  This means regular consultation with all staff and governors to ensure the continual progress of PE at Barry Primary.

Our Sports Premium allocation remains the same at £9,770.

We have continued with our membership of Northampton Town Schools Partnership and look forward to many inter-school competitions throughout the forthcoming year.

During September, teaching staff took part in the first of 3 training sessions with REAL PE http://www.createdevelopment.co.uk/real-pe/ an exciting new way to teach PE.  Our staff are passionate about delivering the best for our children and we are confident that this will support and challenge every child.

We continue to offer a broad range of before and after school sports clubs, including Multi-Skills, Dodgeball and Gymnastics, some of which are funded using the Sports Premium details of which can be viewed here.

Our Sports Premium allocation for 14/15 was £9,770.  We provided professional sports coaching for PE sessions in Key Stage One as well as Key Stage Two. This helped our children develop a love of sport and to build a bank of skills that will support them when playing AND learning.

We also used the funding to provide an after school football and netball club, run by Back of the Net.

Membership of Northampton Town Schools Partnership, which provides opportunities for children to take part in activities with other schools, such as cross-country and inter-school competitions.

Our plan for the future is to offer an increased range of opportunities for all children and to develop the skills and expertise within the school, including training staff to maintain expert learning opportunities for the children.
